Ashley Jensen has disclosed that she struggles to "switch off" whilst filming Shetland , confessing that the role "consumes" her.

Speaking on Good Housekeeping UK's My Life In A Biscuit Tin podcast, Ashley, who portrays DI Ruth Calder in the BBC series, discussed the festive period with host Liz Moseley.

When Liz enquired about Christmas in her household, the conversation turned to decorations, with the presenter asking whether Ashley preferred a "tasteful" tree, or what she termed "chaos".
