In the Nov. 18 news cycle, Dow acknowledged that Fargo’s residential parking restrictions were effectively serving as “punishment.” After an 18-month review, he concluded the night parking rules were no longer necessary—and acted accordingly.
This situation mirrors West Fargo’s policy of prohibiting parking on all city streets one day a week within designated zones. As a resident of West Fargo for over 20 years, I’ve seen little street maintenance beyond snow removal and the occasional street sweeping. Aside from a single blacktop overlay, my street has received no other visible maintenance.
