ONSLOW COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - Authorities in Onslow County have finally released information on an armed carjacking that involved a driver’s education car at White Oak High School with two students inside.
WITN began reaching out to authorities, including the school system, early this morning about the carjacking that happened yesterday afternoon. The sheriff’s office ended up sending out a news release around 2:15 p.m.
The sheriff’s office says it happened around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday on the high school’s campus. Two students and an instructor were in the vehicle when the armed carjacking took place.
Deputies say no one was injured, and the car thief immediately left the campus in the vehicle.
