Jordan finalist for Crighton Trophy
Chatham’s Ethan Jordan is a finalist for the Hec Crighton Trophy to be awarded Thursday to the Canadian university football player of the year.
The Laurier Golden Hawks receiver won the Ontario University Athletics MVP award after making 68 catches for 1,066 yards and 10 touchdowns.
The other finalists are: Saskatchewan Huskies receiver Daniel Wiebe (Canada West), who had 60 catches for 929 yards and 11 TDs; Bishop’s Gaiters quarterback Justin Quirion (Atlantic University Sport), who threw for 15 TDs and 1,959 yards; and Laval Rouge et Or quarterback Arnaud Desjardins (RSEQ), who threw for 14 TDs and 1,873 yards.
