Karnal, Haryana: Imagine barfi or sandesh shaped like the iconic Doordarshan logo, or even like a rabbit, fish, or star. The National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI) in Karnal is now working to turn this idea into reality using 3D printing technology.
In a first-of-its-kind development in India, NDRI scientists have successfully used 3D printing technology to create Indian dairy sweets in any shape or design fed into the machine. The innovation not only allows for personalised shapes but also enables adjustments to the nutritional profile of the sweets.
