AUSTIN, Minn.- The City of Austin and Mower County are holding an open house for a 2045 Comprehensive plan at the Ruby Rupner Auditorium at the Hormel Nature Center from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 19.

Holly Wallace, the city's planning and zoning administrator says the open house is a chance for the community to learn about the city and the county's plans to guide growth and quality of life over the next 20 years.

The plan is set to cover a variety of topics including land use between the city and the county, transportation, economic development, housing, public utilities, food systems, agriculture, park space and cooperation between city and county governments.
