RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - Washoe County has approved a new contract with County Manager Kate Thomas for $338,988 a year.

The two-year contract is effective on Dec. 1 and will last until Nov. 30, 2027.

Thomas was appointed on Oct. 27 after serving as interim manager since July 1.

Her salary is a 10% increase over her assistant county manager base salary and 1% less than the previous county manager.
