A person was airlifted to a hospital after a Brightline train collided with a car in North Miami Beach on Wednesday.

The incident was reported on the tracks in the area of the 14100 block of Biscayne Boulevard.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue officials said crews responded and airlifted a patient to a nearby trauma center.

Aerial footage showed the heavily damaged vehicle sitting next to the tracks as authorities investigated.

No other information was immediately available.
