Who will make history to end the 2025 season?

The 2025 NWSL Championship game will feature the Washington Spirit and Gotham FC (NY/NJ).

Washington ended the regular season as the No. 2 seed, posting a 12-8-6 win-draw-loss record and endured a stretch without star U.S. women's national team forward Trinity Rodman.

In the playoffs, the Spirit showed their spirit by taking down No. 7 Racing Louisville and the No. 3 Portland Thorns to reach the final stage.

On the other side of the bracket, No. 8 Gotham (9-9-8) pulled off a stunner over No. 1 Kansas City Current, which easily topped the regular season with 21 wins -- finishing 21 points above second-place Washington.
