More details are emerging about money being spent to support a potential gubernatorial bid from Jay Collins .
According to AdImpact, “Florida Fighters” is reserving $1.62 million in airtime for ads to support the Lt. Governor in the Orlando and Tampa markets, suitable for 2,070 airings of the commercial.
In Tampa, the group has reserved $899,742 in airtime through December 9. All but $98,742 of that will be on over-the-air channels.
In Orlando, $596,600 is going to cable buys, while $123,729 will be spent on broadcast.
Collins, who said he would decide “ soonish ” on his run nearly a month ago, is “very grateful” for the support.
“It’s very encouraging to see people believe in our message and our approach,” he said Tuesday in Jacksonville.
