A community-wide Secret Santa exchange aimed at helping local charities and businesses is looking for participants.

The Hashtag Local Secret Santa initiative started in 2021 with about 50 participants, said Kaley Holder, with the community hub aimed at connecting people with local businesses and events, and raising money for charity.

It didn’t run in 2023, she said.

But it’s been pretty steady every other year, with about 60 participants in 2024, said co-founder Rich Bouchard.

Aims are to get as many as 80 people taking part this year and raise $1,000 for seven local charities, the Hashtag Local co-founder said.

In past years, funds have been directed to one charity at a time.
