For Ben Collins, CEO of the satirical media company The Onion, the answer to tyranny and corruption is humor.

Collins sat for a fireside chat with the Globe’s Washington bureau chief, Jackie Kucinich, at this year’s Globe Summit on Wednesday to discuss the current state of the media, the dangers of artificial intelligence, and how satire may be just what people need.
