ATLANTA -- The Braves added to their organizational pitching depth on Wednesday, acquiring left-handed reliever Ryan Rolison from the Rockies in exchange for cash considerations.
Rolison, 28, has been hindered by multiple injuries since being Colorado’s first-round pick (22nd overall) in the 2018 MLB Draft . The southpaw made his Major League debut this season, and he posted a 7.02 ERA over 31 appearances (42 1/3 innings) with a 12.9% strikeout rate and a 10.4% walk rate. The Rockies designated Rolison for assignment on Tuesday.
While Rolison might not be part of Atlanta’s relief corps to begin the 2026 season, there is a need to strengthen organizational bullpen depth. That depth was recently diminished by the decision to not exercise the options for right-handers Pierce Johnson
