A former Morristown resident was sentenced on Nov. 14 to 25 years in prison for murdering a Cedar Knolls man in 2021.
OTyrell Lansing, 32, pleaded guilty to first-degree aggravated manslaughter and second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose in October.

Lansing admitted to shooting Scott multiple times in a parking lot before fleeing in August 2021. He was later apprehended in Oklahoma with co-defendant De'Quan McDaniel.
McDaniel pled guilty to third-degree hindering the apprehension or prosecution and was sentenced to a three-year suspended sentence and 250 hours of community
