As Niagara College’s third president, Jacqueline Robarts broke ground as the first woman to lead a public post-secondary institution in Ontario.
Throughout her lifetime, the former nurse welcomed opportunities to share her perspective and experiences with the next generation of women — particularly students in health programs — offering guidance and insights shaped by her own path.
Robarts died Nov. 9. She was 95.
A pioneering educator, Robarts is remembered for an unwavering leadership style rooted in strength and compassion — qualities that shaped her tenure during Niagara College’s developmental years and influenced generations of students and colleagues.
