The Maricopa County Attorney's Office, in partnership with Chandler Unified School District and the Queen Creek Police Department, is hosting a free "Shred-A-Thon" document shredding event on Saturday, Nov. 22.

The event, to be held from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., will be held at Auxier Elementary School, 22700 S. Power Road, Queen Creek.

The event is designed to help residents protect their personal information and combat identity theft. Participants can bring as many as five boxes of documents per vehicle for secure shredding at no cost.
