The Senate passed a bill Nov. 19 to patch an unexpected $400 million shortfall in the state budget tied to federal changes in President Donald Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill Act.”
Like their colleagues in the House, Senators had to return to Legislative Hall for an extraordinary session to pass a bill to keep that funding level, while protecting the state’s financial security.
