LOS ANGELES, California — Actress Rebecca Gayheart said she is doing her best to support her family through actor Eric Dane’s amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) diagnosis , describing the journey as “super complicated” but emphasizing the importance of showing up for her daughters, Good Morning America reported this week .

Gayheart, who shares teenage daughters Billie, 15, and Georgia, 13, with Dane, spoke candidly on the Broad Ideas podcast.

“I am definitely trying to show [Billie and Georgia] that we show up for people, no matter what, and [Dane] is our family. He is your father,” the 54-year-old actress said in the new episode, according to GMA.
