New coach K.C. Keeler has transformed a moribund program into a legitimate challenger in his first year on the job. In other words, the Owls represent a real threat to the Wave’s American Conference championship and College Football Playoff hopes.

“They look completely different,” Tulane coach Jon Sumrall said. “They’re probably the most improved team in our conference. It shows in every phase.”
