Support is pouring in for a Chicago woman and her 9-year-old son who were attacked by a group of kids in Chicago in a scene that was capture on now-viral video.
The Monday attack on Corshawnda Hatter and her 9-year-old son happened just blocks away from Orville T. Bright Elementary School in the South Deering neighborhood.
According to police, the 33-year-old woman and her 9-year-old son were walking just after 3 p.m. in the 10600 block of South Bensley Avenue when "a group of offenders approached and struck the victims multiple times."
Hatter said the situation stemmed from bullying at her son's school.
