A Texas man was indicted for murder by a grand jury on Monday related to the death of actor Jonathan Joss, who was shot and killed outside his San Antonio home in June.
Sigfredo Ceja Alvarez, 56, was charged with one count of murder by a grand jury in Bexar County, according to court records, News 4 San Antonio reports.
The indictment against Alvarez comes more than five months after he was arrested for first-degree murder on June 1. He posted a $200,000 bail at the time and was released.
Alvarez was identified as a neighbor of Joss, whose husband, Tristan Kern de Gonzales, told authorities he witnessed the shooting, People reports. Gonzales said the shooting occurred after “years of threats” from Alvarez towards Joss, saying he was targeted due to his sexuality, per People.
