Ramesh Sippy’s directorial Sholay, starring Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra in the lead roles, remains one of the most iconic and loved films even after 50 years of its release. As the movie is celebrating its golden jubilee, Ramesh Sippy has opened up about why he never tried to make a part two or a remake of the cult classic and talked about why it is not viable as well.
Speaking to Free Press Journal, Sippy revealed, “We used to talk about Sholay 2, but I was never tempted. Just because what I made came out right doesn’t mean I have to remake it or follow it up with a sequel.
