OWENSBORO, Ken. (WFIE) - Two tennis courts at Dugan Best Park have been converted into multi-use recreation areas.
The new space features a junior basketball area, street soccer space, and and obstacle course.
Officials say they collaborated with the youth at the Dugan Best Community Recreation Center for ideas on what to add to the park.
They say they hope encourage physical activity with the repurposed park.
“I know at the street soccer court at Legion we see tremendous amount of play for all ages, all hours of the night and day at that location,” says Amanda Rogers, Owensboro Parks and Recreations director. “This court will close with the park at ten but with the fact that we have lights here, I really hope that we see community gathering from across our community through a love of
