SELINSGROVE — Mady Quigley clutched a cup of hot cocoa and complained about her toes being cold before she voluntarily plunged herself into a tank of cold water on the Susquehanna University campus Wednesday night.

“I’m doing it for my twin sister,” said Quigley of participating in the polar plunge to raise money for the Special Olympics, an organization whose events her sister has participated in. “It gives adults a chance to be a part of a team and participate in sports.”
