SAUK COUNTY, Wis. (WKOW) -- A former Sauk County deputy is finding himself on the wrong side of the law after being accused of taking an inappropriate photo of an inmate without her consent.
David Galvan is charged with capturing and distributing an intimate representation without consent and misconduct while on duty.
A new criminal complaint says that Galvan had taken a picture of the victim while she was in jail through video surveillance cameras last year.
He shared the photo with another deputy in June, which showed the victim exposed from the waist up.
The woman in the photo, Candice Genge, came forward to 27 News and gave permission to release her name.
27 News spoke with Genge over the phone, but she was not ready for an interview. She shared a statement saying:
