(KBTX) - Iola, Leon, and A&M Consolidated will represent the Brazos Valley at the volleyball state championships this week in Garland.
Iola (47-5) returns to the title game for the third straight year and will face Crawford (32-15) in the 2A Division II state championship Thursday at 7 p.m. The Bulldogs and Pirates have met in the championship game five times in the past nine seasons. Iola has swept every team they have faced in the playoffs this year.
Leon (34-8) will take on Nocona (34-13) for the 2A Division I state championship Thursday at 5 p.m. The Cougars have been a powerhouse in Class 2A, but this marks their first title game appearance since 2019. Leon is seeking their first championship since winning the 3A title in 2015.
