Yale University will continue offering a popular course on musician Bad Bunny and the U.S. territory of Puerto Rico, Connecticut Public Radio reported.
Why It Matters
Bad Bunny, born Benito Martínez Ocasio in Puerto Rico, is a Grammy Award-winning musician. The 31-year-old made headlines earlier this year when it was announced that he was chosen as the leading act for the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show.
A Change.org petition calling for Bad Bunny to be removed from the halftime show has received over 100,000 signatures . The backlash was triggered after the artist told i-D that he did not tour in the U.S. mainland for his latest album due to worries of his concerts being targeted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
