EUGENE — Oregon faces arguably its biggest individual test of the season against USC receiver Makai Lemon.
Unquestionably the top receiver No. 7 Oregon will face during at least the regular season, Lemon has 71 receptions for 1,090 yards and eight touchdowns. He also has two rushing touchdowns on five carries and is the primary punt and kickoff returner for the No. 15 Trojans.
The 5-foot-11, 195-pound Lemon lines up primarily in the slot, but USC (8-2, 6-1 Big Ten) moves him around to attempt to create favorable matchups. The entire Ducks defense has to be aware of where he is on an every-down basis on Saturday (12:30 p.m., CBS).
“He’s a tough matchup already, how good a wide out he is,” Oregon coach Dan Lanning said. “The fact that they move him around certainly makes it a challenge.
