Survivor 50 is slowly approaching, but the highly anticipated season premiere could be a double-edged sword. As one of CBS’s most reliable reality TV competitions, Survivor has been airing twice a year since 2000. To commemorate the decades of iconic players, fierce competitions, and unforgettable moments, Survivor ’s milestone season 50 will be a love letter to longtime fans and returning castaways.

Aside from bringing back some of the best Survivor players of all time , season 50 will have some unique variables. The season’s theme— “In the Hands of the Fans” — started while season 48 was airing, with choices ranging from tribe colors to camp supplies open for public vote each week. The results, however, won’t be revealed until Survivor 50 premieres.
