The U.S. men’s national team broke up for the next four months with things in as good a position as anyone could have pictured when they reported to camp at the start of last week.
A pair of wins, 2-1 over Paraguay and a statement 5-1 victory over Uruguay , underpinned a camp in which concerns over star players missing melted into excitement over the USMNT finding a level of play that seemed out of reach just a short time ago.
