Unless rookie Shedeur Sanders finishes the 2025 season on a surprisingly high note, the Cleveland Browns will likely take a quarterback with one of their two first-round picks in April.

On Wednesday, Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski announced that Shedeur Sanders will make his first NFL start on Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders, as Dillon Gabriel is still in the concussion protocol. Sanders completed just four of 16 pass attempts in Cleveland’s Week 11 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.

The 2-8 Browns will likely finish with a top-five pick, but they also own the Jacksonville Jaguars’ 2026 first-round selection via the Travis Hunter trade. That will give Cleveland plenty of ammo if they want to take a quarterback.
