One hundred of the 200 Oregon National Guard members, from units based in Salem and Woodburn, who have been under federal control since Sept. 28 will remain federalized, Gov. Tina Kotek said Nov. 19.
Kotek's statement reiterates a major reversal announced at a press conference about an hour after the governor had announced all the troops would be returning home. It also comes hours after the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals issued a temporary order allowing the Trump administration to maintain control over the Oregon troops.
