Delhi’s air quality touched the ‘severe’ category, with the city’s AQI climbing to 400 Thursday, data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) showed.

The forecast says Delhi ’s air quality is likely to deteriorate further in the coming days, remaining in the ‘very poor’ to ‘severe’ range for the next six days, according to the Ministry of Earth Sciences’ Air Quality Early Warning System.

CPCB’s Sameer app showed Wazirpur logging the city’s worst air quality with an AQI of 477, firmly in the ‘severe’ category. Lodhi Road recorded the lowest reading among the 39 monitoring stations at 269, categorised as ‘poor’, the data showed.
