The Winnipeg Jets announced they have signed team captain Adam Lowry to a contract extension to keep him in a Jets uniform for the next five years.
Lowry, 32, now in his 12th NHL season, all played with the Jets, has signed a five-year contract extension with an average annual value of $5 million US, the club said in a Wednesday media release.
The extension will kick in beginning in the 2026-27 NHL season.
Lowry was selected by the Jets in the third round of the 2011 NHL entry draft.
Last season he set a career high for goals (16), game-winning goals (4) and plus/minus (+18) while adding 18 assists for 34 total points.
