The Atlanta Braves were busy Wednesday, reinforcing their pitching depth.

Among the moves, the Braves announced they completed a trade with the Colorado Rockies to acquire left-handed pitcher Ryan Rolison in exchange for cash considerations.

Rolison made his debut with the Rockies last season and had a 7.02 ERA in 31 games. He worked 42 1/3 innings for the Rockies as a rookie after being called up in May. The Rockies drafted him in the first round of the 2018 MLB Junior Amateur Draft from the University of Mississippi.

He was designated for assignment on Tuesday, and the Braves decided to take a chance on him. He had a 3.45 ERA in college and was good enough to be a top-25 pick. However, he has not found much success at the big league level yet.
