MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Several officers, including a K-9 unit responded to the city’s west side Tuesday evening after a report came in for an armed person chasing three kids into a nearby community center, the Madison Police Department reported.

Just after 6:30 p.m., officers arrived at the 5700 block of Raymond Road and found no disturbance. After investigating, officials determined the suspect was a teen who lived nearby.

Officers and a K-9 unit searched the area and did not find a weapon, MPD reported.

MPD said a 15-year-old was released to family members with a restorative justice referral for disorderly conduct.
