OREGON, Ohio — Months after Oregon City Council approved land for a proposed data center , residents say they still have questions about the project’s impact.
The city sold 170 acres to developer Capacity LLC last year, along with another 22 acres at Wynn and Corduroy roads. The project is being pursued in coordination with the Regional Growth Partnership, which says northwest Ohio has the infrastructure and land needed to support data center development.
“We learn what it takes to land a data center and those attributes really do exist here in northwest Ohio,” said Gary Thompson, executive vice president of Regional Growth Partnership.
