At 11:55 p.m. on Wednesday, the National Weather Service issued a dense fog advisory in effect until Thursday at 9 a.m. for Fayette Ridges as well as Beaver, Allegheny, Washington, Greene and Fayette counties.

The weather service adds to be ready for, "Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog."

"Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous," explains the weather service. "If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you."
