The son of Missing Persons’s Dale Bozzio — known for her distinctive sound behind Eighties tracks “Words” and “Destination Unknown” — is reaching out to her fans to help raise money for the singer’s surgery.
Troy McKenzie began his GoFundMe message by writing that while Bozzio “is a lot of things to the world: singer, songwriter, rock star, fashion icon. To me, she is just my dear mother.” The lead singer has been suffering from “severe capsular contracture,” revealed her son, which requires immediate surgery to remove her silicone breast implants. The most severe condition (Grade 4) can lead to breasts becoming hard and misshapen, while patients can also experience soreness and pain, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons .
