GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - The GICC Crusaders football team haven’t made it to a state title in 42 years and have never been the last team standing in their class.
Connor Haney and the Crusaders are hoping to change that this season.
“It would be absolutely everything, all the work that we put in, this is what we’ve been working towards and there’s nothing greater than winning a championship,” said Haney.
Haney, a talented two way players for GICC has contributed receiving touchdowns on the offensive side and defensively hauled in interceptions throughout the year.
Ultimately, leading the team to the Class C2 State Football Championship against Bishop Neumann, which will be played on Tuesday at 2:45 p.m. in Lincoln.
