In what has been a frustrating fall, the Flames at least had lots to smile about Wednesday as they rolled to a 6-2 pick-me-up against the Sabres in Buffalo.
You could tell it was their night when Matt Coronato chopped a shot that was deflected high off the glass, only to bounce off the back of the opposing goaltender and dribble in.
“It was nice to see the guys score some goals tonight, even a couple that were lucky,” Flames head coach Ryan Huska told reporters in Buffalo. “We haven’t seen a lot of those this year.”
