On Thursday at 1:53 a.m. a dense fog advisory was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until 9 a.m. for Northern Clinton, Northern Lycoming, Southern Clinton and Southern Lycoming as well as Huntingdon, Mifflin, Juniata, Fulton, Union, Snyder, Montour, Northumberland and Perry counties.
"Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog," can be anticipated according to the weather service. "A light glaze of ice, especially on bridges and overpasses could contribute to the hazardous driving conditions."
"Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous," explains the weather service. "If driving, slow down, use your low-beam headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you."
