Police in Liwonde, Machinga District, have arrested three people suspected of being involved in the disappearance of 10 computers from Mlomba Secondary School.
According to Liwonde Deputy Police Commissioner Liznet Kathumba, two of the suspects are security guards at the school, while the third is a computer teacher.
The computers, donated to the school by the Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA) as part of a project aimed at promoting the use of computers and the internet in schools, went missing earlier this week.
The suspects are expected to appear in court soon after the police conclude their investigations.
