Patna: Nitish Kumar took the oath as Chief Minister of Bihar for the tenth time, after the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) secured a sweeping victory in the state assembly elections. The ceremony, held at Gandhi Maidan in Patna on 20 November 2025, was attended by a host of senior leaders from across the NDA.

The victory gave the coalition 202 of the 243 seats in the assembly, with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) claiming 89 seats and the Janata Dal (United) (JD(U)) 85. ADVERTISEMENT
