Alia Bhatt's film Jigra faced backlash over alleged plot theft from Divya Khosla Kumar's Savi, leading to a defense from her uncle Mukesh Bhatt.

Alia Bhatt faced an unexpected setback with the underperformance of her 2024 release Jigra. The film’s struggle became more controversial when actor–filmmaker Divya Khosla Kumar accused the makers of Jigra of lifting the plot from her film Savi. Now, Alia’s uncle and veteran producer Mukesh Bhatt has strongly rebutted the allegations.
