Rajouri, Nov 20: A bullet was found embedded in the outer wall of a house in Sunderbani area of Rajouri district on Thursday, prompting police to launch an investigation, officials said.

One Rattan Lal, a resident of Middle Kangri, informed Sunderbani Police Station that he noticed a single bullet mark on the exterior wall of his house in the morning. Police recovered the bullet from the spot and took it into custody for examination they said.

They said that the house owner told police that he did not hear any gunshot sound, and the circumstances under which the bullet hit the wall are yet to be ascertained.

Further investigation is underway, they added. (KNC)
