JD(U) chief Nitish Kumar was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Bihar for a record 10th time on Thursday (November 20, 2025) at Patna’s historic Gandhi Maidan. With this, he also continues as one of the 10 longest-serving Chief Ministers in India, having completed 19 years in power.

The oath ceremony was conducted by Bihar Governor Arif Mohammed Khan. The event witnessed the presence of top national leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP national president J.P. Nadda, and Chief Ministers from several NDA-ruled states.

26 Ministers Take Oath

A total of 26 ministers joined the new cabinet. The party-wise breakup is:

BJP – 14 ministers

JD(U) – 8 ministers

LJP (RV) – 2 ministers

HAM (S) – 1 minister

RLM – 1 minister
