New Delhi: At the India International Space Conclave 2025 celebrating the foundation of the Indian Space Association (ISpA), the industry body for voicing the aspirations and concerns of the private companies working in the space domain, Viasat India announced a partnership with BSNL to commercialise Viasat’s Velaris satellite connectivity solutions for uncrewed aircraft, enabling secure beyond visible line of sight (BVLOS) operations, as well as supporting India’s burgeoning low-altitude economy. The service allows for seamless integration of uncrewed aircraft in commercial space, alongside traditional crewed aircraft and is powered by Viasat’s global network of L-band satellites, designed for safety-critical applications.
