Yosemite was placed under a winter weather advisory by the National Weather Service on Thursday at 2:23 a.m. The advisory is valid from 10 a.m. until Friday Nov. 21, at 10 a.m.
The NWS Hanford CA says to be ready for, “For the central and southern Sierra Nevada: Total snow accumulations 5 to 8 inches. Winds gusting to 35 mph. For Pine Mountain Club and Mount Pinos: Total snow accumulations 2 to 5 inches. Winds gusting to 25 mph.”
“Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday evening and Friday morning commutes,” according to the NWS. “Slow down and use caution while traveling.
