Wintery weather has left a number of schools closed across the UK, with snow falling as far south as Devon and Cornwall.

According to reports, over 100 schools have been closed in the north east of Scotland. Across the rest of the UK, some schools are reporting closures due to the weather impacting staff absence.

With more snow and sleet forecast in some parts of the UK, there could be more closures to come on Friday.
